Blog Book Tour for "Original Faith" Starts Mon. 9-14

This tour is sponsored by WomenOnWriting - thank you Margo, Jodi and Angela.

A blog book tour for Original Faith: What Your Life Is Trying to Tell You launches Monday September 14 at The Muffin and runs through mid-October. It includes guest posts, interviews and reviews at as many as fifteen blogs, with nine scheduled to date.

Although this tour is sponsored by WomenonWriting, I am not a woman. Other insights into me and the book include the following from Monday's interview with WomenOnWriting at The Muffin:

WOW: It took you twenty-five years to write Original Faith (25, correct?), and it addresses your spiritual life and struggles along the way. Why did it take so many years to write this book?

Me: Yes, twenty-five, “25,” or, as I like to think of it, “only a quarter of a century…”

Paul Maurice, you gently remind readers that it is not how long it seems to take to accomplish something that matters, but that you reach a mental place where you sense the time is right. Writing a book is something many people say they wish to do, but many people also spend at least the same amount of energy justifying why it is not being done or cannot happen. Thanks for inspiring people to believe in themselves and their potential. This is parallel to the topic of my post today along this theme. Come visit!

I do wish you all the best on the WOW tour, Paul. It is a great, supportive organization and I know you will meet marvelous people. And I am sure they will love to meet you and learn more about this book that took so much of your life to create...

I am looking forward to the day you visit MY blog on the tour. Monday, Sept. 21. I am glad to lend my heart to this venture on your behalf. Much love to you!

Oh, yes, did you know that the 21st is International Day of Peace? How fitting for your visit—one of the most peace-filled guys I know.

Liara - As you say, getting the writing itself done seems to be very difficult for quite a lot of people. The publishing aspect is whole other story, and I'll be addressing both the writing process and the publishing aspect in some of the guest interviews I'm doing. Thanks for the invitation - I'm afraid I'm slower and slower getting around to visits as my bedridden time inexorably increases.

Tuti - Wait till they find out - I signed all my correspondence with them "Paula."

Jan - I appreciate it and thanks for the link. One of your interview questions was so incisive that I've copied my response into notes I've been keeping for if and when I ever get to do a second edition of OF.
